Metalcore bands seem to be dropping like flies in Minneapolis as it was revealed today that The Following will be disbanding. At this time there is no official statement from the band as to why they are breaking up but they did announce on their facebook page that their final show will be March 4th at The Garage in Burnsville where they will be playing all of their past material. The show will also feature support from In Search of Solace, Empty My Lungs, Rally Cap, and many more.
The Following first formed in late 2013 and quickly established themselves in the Minnesota metalcore scene. Among their successes, they played the MN date of Vans Warped Tour in 2014, opened for many national acts, headlined Local Love 2014 and Brickfest in 2015. They released two critically acclaimed EPs, In Existence in March 2014, and In Darkness last October.
