After appearing in our write-up 3 Bands You Should Have Your Eye on in 2016, Minneapolis pop-punk four piece The Way Away released their high anticipated sophomore EP Something I Never Wanted today via bandcamp. The new EP is the followup to their 2014 release Carry On and features the single “Echoes” which came out last August.
The EP was independently recorded guitarist Jeff Engler and mixed/mastered by Xander Moser and Paul Leavitt. A music video for the song “Six Feet Over” is also set for release soon.
The Way Away will be playing two release shows in Minnesota in support of the new EP. February 20th at the Minnehaha Free Space in Minneapolis, and February 27th at Studio 15 in Duluth. Take a listen to Something I Never Wanted below and show them some love!
