In a statement on the band’s Facebook page, Infinite Me bassist Jackie Fleming announced that he will be leaving the band. The post comes only a month after the Minneapolis emo band announced their upcoming spring tour with Author and Many Rooms. The former bassist did not give an exact reason leading to his departure but it is confirmed that the band will be pressing on with vocalist Deano Erickson taking over bass duties. You can read his full statement below.

Hey friends, Jackie here. If you haven’t caught wind of it yet, I am leaving Infinite Me. It was a tough call to make, but it’s the right time for me to move on to new adventures. I wouldn’t be a musician at all if it weren’t for these boys, I’m honored they’ve been a part of my life so many years. This band was responsible for holding my sanity together through the many growing pains of this odd world.

Zac, Dean, Trist, and Colb are still working hard to keep the creative energy going and have some exciting things to show everyone soon. Also, Deano’s filling my shoes on bass! How neat is that? Best keep your eyes peeled

I’m thankful for the strangers that gave us their homes, beer, Netflix accounts, and pets when we’re on the road. I’m thankful for all of the friends I’ve met. I’m thankful for my parents. I’m thankful for the crazy good artists we’ve gotten to work or tour with. I’m thankful for everyone who gave a fuck. I’m thankful for the night drives. I’m thankful to leave this part of my life behind with a smile.
