David Thompson, vocalist of Minnesota melodic hardcore band, Nanashi, has left the band.
In his statement, Thompson cites “personal reasons and circumstances” as the *WORD* for his departure.

You can read his statement below.
To anyone who has come out to a show, bought merch, streamed our music, watched our videos, given us a floor to crash on, booked us, etc. You are the shit. Thank you so much for your support and encouragement. You absolutely mean the world.
To the friends that we’ve all made at shows or on tours, you are what this music is all about. Connecting with one another through artistic expression.
The memories and connections I’ve acquired over the last few years in this band will never fade. I wanted to play Warped since I was a little kid, and even if it was only for fifteen minutes, I got to play a set to open that shit up. One time. That’s more than I could ask for. I got to travel in a van across half the country and play music in so many different types of places with so many good bands and musicians. All of it only happened because of all of your love and support. THANK YOU.
That being said, the last few years were packed with countless unforgettable experiences and I wouldn’t change any of it. However, due to personal reasons and circumstances I will no longer be singing in Nanashi. Thank you for your support and understanding.
Much love.
-David
The band states that they will not be calling it quits. Auditions will be held in the near future to find a replacement vocalist. You can read their full statement here.
We here at MMC wish David the best of luck in all future endeavors.
