Last month it was announced that Northbound Collective would be hosting a show at Fallout Arts Center raising money for Bernie Sanders’ 2016 Presidential campaign. Earlier today, the full lineup of “Bung 4 Bernie” was announced via the facebook event page.
At the top of the bill is BUNGxTRACK, a Rage Against the Machine cover band featuring members of the now defunct Molly’s Worst Enemy. The cover act was known for making surprise appearances at house shows and most recently headlined the final Como Cabana show last August. However, other midwest acts are getting in on the fun too, forming their own cover bands just for this show.
Also playing that night is 1 Minutes: a Green Day cover band from IL 3-piece Anzio, Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar, Bar Band: early 2000’s pop-punk covers from Charlie Siren, Bliss: Pierre doing a Nirvana cover set. A hip-hop set from Waconia, MN’s Frompy, and Mankato, MN’s Influendum performing songs from Rock Horror Picture Show.
The show will be on January 23rd at the Fallout Arts Center in Minneapolis. It’s a minimum donation of five dollars and all proceeds go straight to Bernie Sanders’ campaign. Click here to RSVP via facebook.
